Reese Witherspoon is a popular American actress and film producer.
Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon was born March 22, 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She has lived in Wiesbaden, Germany for 4 years as a small child, because her father worked for the U.S. military there. After their returning to the U.S., they settled in Nashville, Tennessee, where spent her childhood.
She made her first feature movie role in The Man in the Moon (1991). Later, in the cable movie Wildflower, Reese debuted in television acting. In 1998 she made 3 remarkable roles in the films Twilight, Pleasantville and Overnight Delivery. She earned Golden Globe nomination.
In 2001, she became extremely popular with her roles as "Elle Woods" in Legally Blonde, this film became hit in the box offices. In 2002, she made another great success playing the leading role in Sweet Home Alabama. In the same year she play in the second film from Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde. In 2005 her role in Walk the Line earned her Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, Golden Globe, Academy Award and BAFTA.
